Locke Copenhagen, designed by A-nrd Studio, offers a unique take on Nordic hospitality, blending contemporary design principles with a deep respect for the city's architectural heritage and cultural identity.
A Contemporary Take on Nordic Warmth
The studio's approach is an intriguing blend of simplicity, nature, and domestic comfort, a contemporary interpretation of the renowned Danish concept of hygge. Upon entering, one is greeted by a striking reception desk, a tactile masterpiece crafted from volcanic lava tiles, set against the raw concrete backdrop. This contrast of materials immediately sets the tone for the entire experience.
Social Spaces and Zoning
A-nrd's strategy involves creating a series of interconnected social spaces, each with its own character and purpose. The ground floor is a carefully curated sequence of lounge areas, defined by thoughtful joinery, art interventions, and a considered use of planting.
